Did you know that there are several types of hearing loss?

Sensorineural Hearing Loss

This type of hearing loss occurs when there is damage to the inner ear (cochlea) or the hearing (auditory) nerve. Senorineural hearing loss may be preventable if detected early. This is the most common type of hearing loss.

Conductive Hearing Loss

Sound waves are prevented from reaching the inner ear. A problem with the external ear, ear canal, middle ear, as well as with the hearing bones can cause this. The damage is often temporary and in many situation is repairable.

Mixed Hearing Loss

There is a combination of nerve or inner ear damage and a disorder of the middle or outer ear.
